TinyURL alternative you can edit
TinyURL shortens for free, then locks the two things you need afterwards: a link you can edit and the clicks it got. Za.gl gives you both on the free plan.
What each one covers and misses
16 rows: Za.gl wins 10, TinyURL wins 3, and 3 are a draw. A table that never loses is an advert.

Pick a difference, read it
Six places where Za.gl and TinyURL behave differently, with the number from the table beside each one.
Free, and then fixed
Both tools shorten as many links as you want without charging. The difference starts one second after the link exists: TinyURL hands you a permanent redirect and no way to change it, while za.gl keeps the link in a dashboard where the title, description and, on Pro, the destination stay editable.

TinyURL questions
Two reasons come up most: a free TinyURL link cannot be edited after it is created, and free accounts get no click analytics. If you need to fix a wrong destination or see where the traffic came from, you are on a $12.99 plan, or $9.99 billed annually, which also caps you at 500 active links.
Yes. Links already published on tinyurl.com keep resolving through TinyURL. Nothing is migrated and nothing breaks; you only change where the next link is created.
On the free plan you can edit the title and description. Pro, at $5 a month, unlocks every field including the destination URL, the alias, the password and the expiry date.
Branded domains and bulk work. TinyURL sells custom domains on its paid plans and a Bulk tier from $99 a month for 100,000 active links with team features. Za.gl offers neither: it is a single-account tool with an API.
No. Shortening, pastes and landing pages are unlimited on the free plan, with no monthly counter. The limits that exist are the ones you set per link: a password, an expiry date up to 30 days, or a click cap.
No. A za.gl link stays alive until you delete it or until an expiry date or click limit you set is reached, at which point it stops working and says so instead of sending the visitor on.
TinyURL's free-plan features and Pro pricing were read off TinyURL's own site on 2026-09-07. Where TinyURL does not publish a figure, this page says so instead of guessing.
